Privacy Policy
This site is run by Y&N Digital. This page explains what information is collected when you visit soloandstarving.store and how it's used.
What we collect
This website has no accounts, forms or comment sections, and we don't ask you to enter personal details here. We use the Meta Pixel, which collects information about how you use the site, such as pages viewed, buttons clicked (for example, starting checkout), your device and browser type, your IP address, and cookie identifiers. If your browser indicates you're visiting from the UK or EU, the Meta Pixel only loads after you accept the cookie banner shown on your first visit; if you decline or don't respond, it does not load. If you're visiting from elsewhere, the Meta Pixel loads by default to measure ad performance, and the same banner lets you decline it for this and future visits. We also keep a small amount of technical information in your browser's local storage (such as your quiz answers and results, and, if you arrived via a partner's link, a reference used to credit that partner) so the site works properly; this stays on your device and is not sent to us.
How we use it
We use Meta Pixel information, where you've allowed it, to measure how our ads perform, show our ads to relevant people on Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram), and improve the site. We don't sell your personal information.
Purchases and the Custom Plan
When you click a buy button you leave this site and complete your purchase on Gumroad. Gumroad collects the details needed to process your order, such as your email address and payment information, under its own privacy policy. We don't see or store your card details. Gumroad shares limited purchase information with us, such as your email address and order details, so we can support your order. If you buy the Custom Plan, we send you to a Tally form to collect your preferences (budget, schedule, allergies and foods you avoid, and similar details) so we can build your plan; this information is handled under Tally's own privacy policy and is used by us only to prepare your plan.
Who we share data with
Meta (through the Meta Pixel, subject to the cookie choices described below), Gumroad (payments and delivery), Tally (Custom Plan preferences), and our website host, Netlify. These providers process data under their own privacy policies.
Cookies and your choices
If you're visiting from the UK or EU, we ask on your first visit whether you're OK with us setting cookies for ad measurement, and the Meta Pixel only loads if you accept; if you decline or don't respond, no Meta Pixel cookies are set. If you're visiting from elsewhere, the Meta Pixel loads by default to measure ad performance, and the same banner lets you decline it, which stops it from loading on your next visit. You can change your mind at any time by clearing your browser's site data for this page, which will show the banner again. You can also manage how Meta uses your data for ads in your Meta ad preferences.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the UK/EU GDPR or US state privacy laws), you may have the right to ask what information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict certain processing, or to ask that data collected via the Meta Pixel not be used for ads. Contact us using the details below and we'll respond as soon as we can.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
